Motherhood, Wife, Life

Finding My Balance
The mother I’m becoming.
There are days when I feel grateful for everything I have, and there are also days when I am simply tired.
Tired from work.
Tired from responsibilities.
Tired from trying to be present for everyone.
And sometimes, that tiredness comes out in the wrong way.
There have been moments when my children became the ones who received my frustration. A small thing suddenly felt bigger than it really was. My voice became louder than it needed to be. And after everything became quiet again, I found myself thinking, Why did I react that way?
The hardest part is realizing that sometimes the people we love the most are the ones who see the version of us that we wish they didn’t have to see.
But I am learning something important.
I am a mother, but I am also human. I can be patient and still have difficult days.
I can love my children deeply and still lose my temper.
I can make mistakes and still be a good mother.
Motherhood has taught me that being a good mother doesn’t mean getting everything right.
Sometimes it means recognizing when I was wrong. Sometimes it means saying, “I’m sorry.” Sometimes it means taking a breath before responding.
And sometimes, it simply means giving myself permission to be tired without feeling guilty for it.
I don’t want my children to grow up believing that their mother was perfect.
I want them to remember a mother who tried. A mother who sometimes got it wrong, but came back and tried again. A mother who learned to apologize, to listen, to be softer, and to keep growing.
Because perhaps motherhood is not about becoming the perfect mother.
Maybe it is about becoming a little more aware, a little more patient, and a little more present.
The Life We’re Building
I used to think that building a life together meant having everything figured out.
A good career.
A happy home.
A clear direction.
Plans that work out exactly the way we imagined.
But life has taught us otherwise. Not everything goes according to plan.
There are seasons when things feel easy, and there are seasons when everything feels a little heavier. There are busy days when we barely have time to sit down and talk. There are moments when we have different opinions, different worries, or simply don’t have the energy to understand each other the way we want to.
But perhaps that is what building a life together really means. Not having a perfect life. But having someone who stays when life isn’t perfect.
We are both growing, changing, and figuring things out along the way.
There are dreams we are still chasing, plans we are still working on, and things we are still learning about each other.
And maybe that’s the beauty of it. We don’t have to have it all figured out today. We just have to keep choosing to be on the same team.
To support each other’s dreams.
To make room for each other’s growth.
To celebrate the small wins.
To hold each other through the difficult seasons.
Because the life we’re building isn’t about how perfect it looks from the outside. It’s about the two of us, quietly building something that feels like home.
The Life In Between
There are days when I feel like I am doing everything at once, and days when I wonder if I am doing any of it well enough.
Between taking care of the children, being there for my husband, keeping up with work, and trying to take care of myself, I sometimes forget that life isn’t meant to be perfectly balanced every single day.
Maybe having it all doesn’t mean giving everything the same amount of attention all the time.
Maybe it means knowing what matters most in each season, and allowing myself to be present for it.
I may not always get the balance right. But I am learning to trust that I don’t have to. I just have to keep showing up, with love, in the ways I can.
And perhaps, that is enough.
